MISSION: To build healthy minds, bodies, and spirit in the Bay Hundred Community.
Vision: To improve the quality of life in the Bay Hundred Community by enhancing health and wellness and by ending drug overdose death, offering local care, support and hope to each person and family.
Healthy Tilghman is a community outreach seeking to improve the health and well-being of all in Bay Hundred. Healthy Tilghman supports:
Mental health assessment and counseling from the church annex
Assessment and counseling for youth attending Tilghman’s elementary school.
Faith based referral, counseling, and support (pastors at TMC and St. John’s Chapel)
Peer based family support
Peer support to individuals and families in need; Peer training
Annual 5k/1k run walk of island.
Weekly exercise classes at TMC
Food support
Community educational programs
NARCAN distribution to reduce overdose.

COST:
Since most of the activities of Healthy Tilghman are offered by volunteers they are generally free. Donations are welcome.
Secular professional counseling is offered by Carolyn Parker, LCSW, from the church Annex. It may have a fee, but services are often covered by insurance, grants, donations, or funds made to Healthy Tilghman via the Tilghman Methodist Church.
No one should hesitate to call and receive any service for lack of money. No one.
The Tilghman Methodist Church are 501©3 non-profit organization. It seeks to support local access to these services for all in the community.
