At a glance: During the summer, Tilghman Methodist Church holds Sunday worship outdoors at Kronsberg Park at 10:00 AM on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. On the first, third and fifth Sundays, worship is inside the church at 10:00 AM, and if the weather is bad the park service moves into the church. Everyone is welcome.

The story of the park
In 1964, Tilghman’s Island residents Abe and Lena Kronsberg donated a parcel of land to the church, across from the Fire Department, to be used as a park for outdoor church services and church picnics, especially for the children of Tilghman’s Island. In honor of the Kronsberg family, a dedication service was held at that time, conducted by Rev. Dr. Harold Amoss. The park has hosted community days as well as worship, from the oyster tent at Tilghman Island Day to Tilghman Goes Purple in 2018. Read our history.
