About The Tilghman Methodist Church

Tilghman Methodist Church of the Global Methodist Church is a historic church located on Tilghman Island, Maryland. We are entirely surrounded by water, but are less than 20 minutes from historic St. Michaels and only a half hour from Easton, totally accessible by car. We are a warm, loving community of faith, deeply rooted in the teachings of Christ. We provide a welcoming, comfortable service for all people. Sunday worship is at 10:00 AM, with Adult Sunday School at 9:00 AM and Youth Sunday School at 10:00 AM, during worship: see service times & location or plan your visit.

So whether you are a waterman or other “from here,” a resident who has “come here,” or are just visiting the Eastern shore for a relaxing weekend, we would love to welcome you into our church! 

Church happens here in many ways: at the Tilghman Food Pantry and the free Wednesday meals of our Helping Hands ministry, at the First Tuesday Lunches, in the youth group fishing off the Kirzscenbaums’ dock, and in Healthy Tilghman‘s work for the health and well-being of everyone in Bay Hundred. That’s putting beliefs into action.

Vision: Become a vibrant church serving God by being a welcoming home and beacon of hope and promise for our community and an on-ramp to Christ where everyone can receive spiritual support and grow in faith.

Our Covenant

To be a covenant community of loving Christians who glorify God through worship, teaching, studying God’s Word, and by witnessing through word and deed. We seek to share God’s love in Jesus Christ as His body, individually and collectively, through the leading and power of the Holy Ghost with our community and the world by ministering to people where they are in their lives.
